Color & highlights

Custom color and dimensional highlights. Barbie specializes in blondes and dimensional color.
Hair treatments

Healthy-hair treatments, plus advice on the products and maintenance that keep your look going from the salon chair to home.
Extensions

Hand-tied extensions with Barbie, who is triple certified in hand-tied extensions.
Men’s cuts

Barber clipper styles. Cynder was trained by a well-known barber in Concord.
Kids’ cuts

About Cynder & the salon

A salon close to home.

Cynthia “Cynder” Yates went to California Cosmetology school in Walnut Creek while still in high school. She was trained by a well-known barber in Concord, and managed a salon for him in Brentwood.

Deciding to stay a bit closer to home, she worked in salons around Concord and Pleasant Hill. In 2020 she opened Suite 2 Salon in downtown Pleasant Hill.

She believes in educating her clients on products and maintenance, so the look you leave with lasts from the salon chair to your home. Most of all, she finds joy in helping others look and feel their best.
